Want to host a Climate Shabbat Conversation?

A call to action from

Chief Rabbi of the Commonwealth
Ephraim Mirvis

Why Now?

In 2009, the late Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks instigated a Climate Shabbat before the Copenhagen climate conference (COP15). Jewish communities globally taught, shared and acted on pressing climate change issues.

14 years later, the Jewish Climate Network revived the Climate Shabbat.

We reflect on the words of the late Chief Rabbi: "Let us not play roulette with our children's future."

Instead, let us secure that future through our words and deeds this Climate Shabbat.
